Pay: £36,270.00 Per Annum
Hours: Full Time – Nights

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join a beautifully designed, luxury care home in Chelmsford offering residential, nursing, dementia and respite care.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support residents with all aspects of daily living while helping to maintain the highest standards of care throughout the home. You will also provide leadership and guidance to care team members and support the clinical team where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality personal care and emotional support
  • Assisting residents with mobility, nutrition, personal hygiene and daily routines
  • Administering medication following competency-based training
  • Monitoring resident wellbeing and updating care records accurately
  • Supporting and supervising care staff on shift
  • Participating in meaningful activities and events
  • Supporting families and maintaining positive relationships
  • Carrying out audits, spot checks and care reviews
  • Promoting a safe, calm and homely environment for residents

About you

  • Previous experience within a care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Medication administration experience and qualification
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good organisational and IT skills
  • A caring, positive and professional approach
  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends where required
