A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Engineer 

  • Managing junior geotechnical engineers
  • Managing team workload and providing advise/support to the team as required
  • Leading Pre-FEED and FEED studies
  • General project management of study work (cost control and reporting)
  • Desktop geotechnical studies to support routing of pipelines
  • Providing advice/liaison to Geotechnical Contractors undertaking ground investigation works
  • Lead advisor on the management of ground risk at all stages of projects from concept through to construction and installation
  • Managing scheduling of ground investigation works 
  • Commercial evaluations of ground investigation quotes
  • Lead engineer for GIR's and GDR's
  • Lead engineer for consents associated with NWR's UTX's and National Highways Road Crossings
  • Interpretation of factual ground investigation reports
