Senior Electrical Designer

Senior EC&I Designer
Location: Manchester (Office-Based or Remote)
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Sector: Water
Project Scope: Multi-framework delivery (with occasional office, FAT, and site visits)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior EC&I Designer to join our team, reporting directly to Project Lead Engineers. This role involves delivering high-quality engineering design solutions across a range of water sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce safe, practical, and cost-effective design solutions in line with company procedures and industry standards
• Deliver a wide range of drawing office outputs, including:
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
  • Cable Schedules
  • Material Take-Offs (MTOs)
  • Block Cable Diagrams (BCDs)
  • Schematics
  • Equipment and cable routing layouts
  • P&IDs
  • System architecture diagrams
• Check and review drawings in accordance with company quality procedures
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline

Technical Experience

• Strong understanding of design practices and installation requirements within relevant sectors
• Minimum of 10 years’ engineering experience in EC&I or similar fields
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Good knowledge of UK legislation, standards, and compliance requirements
