Senior Estimator – Construction – £65k–£80k Car Allowance
A leading UK construction and built environment contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing commercial team, supporting a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work across construction, infrastructure, and FM projects.

This is a key pre-construction role with real influence over cost planning, tendering, risk, and value engineering.

Senior Estimator – The Role

As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and commercially robust estimates from early-stage cost planning through to tender submission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates including labour, materials, plant, prelims, and overheads
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
  • Obtaining competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborating with design, operational, and commercial teams
  • Supporting tender submissions, negotiations, and project handovers
  • Presenting estimates and pricing strategies to senior stakeholders
Salary & Benefits
  • £65,000 – £80,000 basic salary

Senior Estimator – About You
  • Proven experience as a Senior Estimator / Estimator within construction, infrastructure, or FM
  • Relevant qualification: HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong Excel and estimating software skills
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
  • Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels
