Location: Any of the following (Ideally 1 day per week in an office, but this can be negotiable) - London, Southampton, Bristol, Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester
Rate: £45.00 - £50 per hour Outside IR35
Contract duration: 6 months +
Hours per week: 37.5

We are seeking a talented Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing and highly respected infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, industrial and public sector developments, delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions from concept through to completion. You'll be joining a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where your technical expertise, leadership skills and commercial awareness will have a direct impact on project success and business growth.
 
The Opportunity

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure designs while supporting the development of junior engineers and maintaining strong client relationships.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Lead and contribute to the delivery of civil and infrastructure design projects.
·Design and coordinate:
oSustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
oSurface water and foul water drainage
oHighways and access roads
oUtilities infrastructure
oEarthworks design

·Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
·Manage project resources, programme delivery and fee forecasting.
·Liaise with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders to secure approvals and project outcomes.
·Promote best practice in health, safety and quality, including CDM compliance.
·Support business development activities, bid submissions and client relationship management.


What We're Looking For
 
·Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
·Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution.
·Strong experience in infrastructure design, including drainage, SuDS and earthworks.
·Proven track record delivering projects through all RIBA stages.
·Excellent understanding of current design standards and industry regulations.
·Experience producing technical reports and communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
·Passion for sustainable infrastructure and innovative engineering solutions.


Desirable Skills

·Experience using InfoDrainage and/or MicroDrainage.
·Civil 3D proficiency.
·Ability to obtain BPSS and Security Clearance (SC).
