A Senior Interior Designer is required for a prestigious luxury interior design studio delivering high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects throughout the UK and internationally. Renowned for creating bespoke and meticulously detailed interiors, the practice works on a range of exciting projects where design quality, craftsmanship, and creativity are at the forefront of everything they do.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer looking to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will lead creative design teams, manage client relationships, oversee procurement and FF&E packages, and play a key role in maintaining the studio's exceptional design standards. Working on luxury projects with significant budgets, you will have the opportunity to influence every stage of the design process while mentoring junior designers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Senior Interior Designer Job Overview

  • Lead luxury interior design projects from initial concept through to final installation and completion.
  • Develop creative design concepts, presentations, mood boards, and client proposals.
  • Produce detailed drawing packages including plans, elevations, and technical design information using AutoCAD.
  • Create visual presentations and renderings using Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, and hand sketching where appropriate.
  • Manage complex FF&E budgets, procurement schedules, supplier coordination, and project delivery.
  • Oversee project programmes, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Present design concepts confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior designers while providing creative leadership across project teams.
  • Review bespoke furniture and joinery designs, including technical drawings and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and consultants throughout project delivery.

Senior Interior Designer Job Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering high-end residential, hospitality, or luxury commercial interior design projects.
  • Strong understanding of FF&E procurement, supplier management, and project budgeting.
  • Excellent design, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience leading projects independently from concept through to completion.
  • Strong technical knowledge of bespoke furniture, joinery, and luxury interior detailing.
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Esti-PC, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

Senior Interior Designer Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
  • 15-month fixed-term contract.
