The Opportunity

A well-established M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and develop its Data Centre Division.

This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of a growing business unit, working directly with senior leadership to shape its future direction. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to build relationships, influence strategy, and establish themselves as a key figure within the company.

Role Overview

As Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery and growth of the data centre sector, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion while supporting business development and client engagement activities.

This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in the data centre market and the ability to manage both operational and commercial aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of data centre projects from inception to handover

• Take ownership of the company's growing data centre division

• Manage project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders

• Oversee programme, procurement, commercial performance, and risk management

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and supply chain partners

• Support tendering, business development, and growth initiatives

• Report directly to senior management on project and divisional performance

• Drive quality, health & safety, and operational excellence across all projects

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering data centre projects

• Proven background as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, or Contracts Manager within the MEP sector

• Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills

• Experience managing complex M&E packages within critical environments

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

• Ambition to play a significant role in the growth of a business division

Candidates without a proven data centre background and a minimum of 5 years' experience within the sector will not be considered.
