A well-established practice based in Oxford is looking to appoint a Senior Outsourcing Accountant to join their expanding outsourcing division. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to work with a varied and stimulating client portfolio in a modern, technology-led environment.
You will take on a senior position within the outsourcing team, managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality management accounting, bookkeeping and reporting services. You will work closely with clients to understand their businesses, identify opportunities and ensure they receive the highest standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop strong relationships with a portfolio of outsourcing clients across multiple sectors
- Oversee day-to-day accounts, preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
- Utilise cloud-based accounting technology to deliver efficient and accurate services
- Act as the primary point of contact for your clients on all accounting and financial matters
- Process bank transactions, sales and purchase ledger entries, expense claims and general ledger postings
- Prepare basic statutory financial statements with little or no supervision
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Carry out ad hoc assignments including budgeting, cash flow forecasting and client training
- Assist with tendering for new clients and the implementation phase for new engagements
- Provide business partnering support, including variance analysis and KPI reporting
- Mentor and support junior members of the outsourcing team
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Previous experience in an outsourcing or management accounts role
- History of working in practice and/or looking to return to practice
- Proficient in cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
- A client-focused approach with a commercial mindset
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
