Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager – Hard FM to join their Supply Chain & Procurement function, supporting the Hard FM team in delivering value across the business.
Job Overview
This role is responsible for driving cost efficiency, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance across the Hard FM spend portfolio through effective sourcing, tendering, and supplier management. The postholder will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver improved commercial outcomes and maximise value across multiple projects and contracts.
Reporting to the Head of Hard FM Procurement, the Senior Procurement Manager will lead agreed commodity groups, manage key supplier relationships, and support UK & Ireland procurement activities in line with the organisation’s Procurement Standard. The role plays a critical part in delivering cost savings, improving compliance, and supporting bids and mobilisations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and tendering activities across agreed Hard FM commodity groups
- Develop and implement category plans to maximise scale and value across multiple projects
- Negotiate supplier contracts and framework agreements to reduce total cost of ownership
- Manage key supplier relationships, driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Deliver cost-saving, compliance, and value improvement initiatives across the business
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support procurement projects, bids, and mobilisations
- Monitor spend, supplier compliance, and procurement performance, providing accurate reporting
- Implement procurement strategies that mitigate risk and improve commercial performance
Person Specification
- Strong procurement experience within Hard FM or facilities management categories
- Proven track record in sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings, compliance improvements, and value-add initiatives
- Strong analytical capability, with experience in spend analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of contract management, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management
- CIPS qualification or degree-level education (or working towards) is desirable
