Senior Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-established construction and development consultancy based in London is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing residential team. This Senior Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to lead large-scale residential schemes for housing associations and build-to-rent clients across London and the South East, with projects typically ranging from 150 to 400 units.

The successful Senior Project Manager will join a close-knit and collaborative team consisting of senior leadership and experienced project professionals delivering a strong pipeline of residential developments. This Senior Project Manager role is ideally suited to a confident and capable individual who can lead projects immediately with minimal supervision. This Senior Project Manager position also offers the opportunity to become involved in business development activities for individuals keen to contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The successful Senior Project Manager will lead residential projects from inception through to completion across affordable housing and build-to-rent developments.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing projects through pre and post-contract stages
• Leading residential schemes ranging from 150 to 400 units
• Coordinating consultants, contractors and client stakeholders
• Managing project programmes, budgets and reporting
• Overseeing procurement, risk and change management processes
• Supporting contract administration duties
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting business development activities where appropriate
• Ensuring successful project delivery with minimal oversight

The consultancy is seeking a professional and delivery-focused Senior Project Manager with:

• Consultancy-side project management experience
• Strong residential development experience
• Experience working on housing association or build-to-rent schemes
• Ability to independently lead projects from inception to completion
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Degree qualified in Construction, Project Management or similar
• Chartered status with RICS, CIOB or APM preferred, although support can be provided
