Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering / Highways

We’re working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering highways and infrastructure works across the UK. With a strong pipeline of secured projects, they’re looking to bring in an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role within the commercial team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more ownership, the chance to mentor others, and to be fully involved in the commercial performance of projects.

The role:

• Take full commercial responsibility from enquiry through to final account
• Produce and manage monthly CVRs and financial reporting 
• Oversee cost control, budgets, and project profitability 
• Manage contract documentation, negotiations, and compliance (NEC) 
• Lead on applications, valuations, and cash flow management 
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders 
• Mentor and support junior surveyors within the team 

What they’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a Senior QS / experienced QS role
• Strong background in civil engineering or highways projects
• Good understanding of NEC contracts
• Confident managing projects commercially from start to finish
• Strong leadership and communication skills
