Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction business for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role on their residential portfolio. If you have a background in housing and residential schemes and are looking for a senior position where your expertise will genuinely be valued, we'd love to hear from you.

The role

Reporting to the commercial lead, you will manage the full cost lifecycle of residential projects — from early-stage procurement and subcontractor management through to final accounts. You will also provide support and mentoring to junior members of the commercial team.

What we're looking for

• Substantial experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contracting environment
• Residential or housing scheme experience is highly desirable
• Confident managing subcontractor packages, valuations, and cost reporting
• RICS qualified or working towards chartership (preferred, not essential)
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships

Salary & benefits

Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus package. A great opportunity to step into a senior role with genuine responsibility and career progression.
