A well-established and highly regarded main contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Flooring Division based in Colchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist internal trade division of a major contractor, offering stability, structured working hours, and long-term career progression.

The Role

• Commercial management of flooring projects from order through to final account

• Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment

• Cost control, forecasting, and reporting

• Managing subcontractor accounts and variations

• Liaising with internal project teams and supply chain

• Ensuring commercial compliance and margin protection

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (flooring or internal trades experience preferred but not essential)

• Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes

• Confident communicator with good organisational skills

• Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment

• Relevant construction or commercial qualification preferred
