About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team specialising in high-end residential construction projects.

This is a full-time role responsible for managing all costs relating to building projects. As a key client-facing member of the team, you will work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining excellent client relationships while ensuring commercial objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of construction projects from inception through to completion.

Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.

Undertake cost estimation and financial planning.

Administer contracts and manage contractual obligations.

Procure and manage subcontractor packages.

Assess and value variations.

Monitor project expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.

Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.

Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets.

Support project teams with commercial advice and risk management.

Maintain accurate project records and reporting documentation.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

Experience working on high-end or high-specification residential projects.

Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and financial control.

Understanding of construction processes and building methods.

Experience in contract administration and project commercial management.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Proficiency in construction and commercial management software.

Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
