Reporting to the Team Leader within the Research and Innovation Division you will:

• Lead the technical delivery of research projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality requirements.
• Support business growth activities through bid development, technical strategy creation, and solution development.
• Identify opportunities to exploit research outputs into future products and capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary research programmes.
• Lead and coordinate small teams of researchers and technical specialists.
• Develop innovative solutions across a range of scientific and engineering disciplines.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyse technical outputs and provide clear recommendations to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to develop and deliver advanced technical solutions.
• Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
• Utilise scientific computing tools such as MATLAB and Python to support modelling, analysis, and research activities.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree or PhD qualified in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Demonstrable experience planning, coordinating, and delivering research programmes.
• Proven track record of developing innovative technical solutions
• Experience using scientific computing software such as MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
