JP Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for two experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join a children’s residential service in Fareham supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people within a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
- Previous experience working within children’s residential care
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to support young people with challenging behaviours and complex needs
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the staff team during shifts
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members
- Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the home
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Promote education, independence and daily living skills
- Support care planning and keyworker responsibilities
- Attend meetings and complete accurate records/documentation
- Create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people
