A leading international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its project team on a major hyperscale data centre development in Paris.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation delivering some of Europe's most complex and technically challenging mission-critical projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the design coordination, engineering delivery and construction of a large-scale data centre facility for a global technology client.
Responsibilities
- Provide structural engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from design review through to construction and commissioning.
- Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review structural designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Manage technical queries, engineering issues and design changes arising during construction.
- Support project teams in delivering structural works safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises and constructability assessments.
- Monitor site activities and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved designs and relevant regulations.
- Assist with project planning, risk management and programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices across the project.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status or progressing towards chartership is desirable.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in structural engineering within the construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience delivering large-scale projects within data centres, pharmaceuticals, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel and foundation systems.
- Thorough understanding of Eurocodes and relevant industry standards.
- Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
