The Company
Our client is an independent construction consultancy with an established presence across South Wales and the South West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint either a Senior Building Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to undertake a Project Manager / Employer's Agent role within the business.
The consultancy works across a range of affordable housing and public sector developments, providing professional services from project inception through to completion. Their client base is built largely on repeat business and long-standing relationships, reflecting their collaborative approach and consistent project delivery.

The Role
The successful Senior Building Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing projects through both pre-construction and delivery phases, acting as a key link between clients, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as Employer's Agent and Project Manager across a range of developments
- Preparing and administering contract documentation
- Managing projects through both pre- and post-contract stages
- Chairing project meetings and producing progress reports
- Monitoring contractor performance against programme, quality and compliance requirements
- Managing valuations, variations, project costs and final accounts
- Supporting project handover and defects management processes
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships throughout project delivery
To be considered, you will have:
- MRICS qualification or be working towards Chartership
- Previous experience within an Employer's Agent, Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying role
- Experience delivering residential and/or commercial projects
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage projects independently while working effectively within a wider team
