Location: London
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Evening shifts (approx. 4pm–12am), flexibility required

About the Role

BugBusters UK Limited, a bespoke commercial cleaning company, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee and coordinate cleaning operations across multiple client sites. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on service delivery, team management, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service Delivery

• Oversee cleaning operations across multiple contracts and sites
• Ensure services are delivered in line with contract specifications and company standards
• Conduct regular site visits and respond promptly to operational issues

People Management

• Manage Site Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Cleaning Operatives
• Support recruitment, rota planning, training, performance management and disciplinary processes
• Promote a positive, high-performance working culture

Client Management

• Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients
• Handle client queries and complaints professionally
• Attend client meetings and support service improvements

Quality, Health & Safety

• Carry out quality audits and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents and staff performance

Administration & Reporting

• Monitor staff hours, stock levels and site documentation
• Submit regular performance and operational reports
• Oversee inventory control and ordering

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Service Manager / Operations Manager role
• Background in commercial cleaning or facilities management preferred
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing ability
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and cleaning standards
• Ability to manage multiple sites in a fast-paced environment
• IT literate (Microsoft Office, scheduling systems)
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
