Our client, a well-established and reputable automotive dealership in Colne, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their team. This is a key leadership role offering an excellent opportunity to oversee customer service operations, lead a professional team, and contribute to the dealership’s ongoing growth as it expands into becoming an authorised repairer for a renowned vehicle brand. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automotive customer service and management, and a passion for delivering exemplary standards.

Duties of a Service Manager:
  • Oversee all service and diagnostic processes, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Lead, coach, and develop the service team to meet and exceed KPIs
  • Recruit, onboard, and performance-manage service advisors and other front-line staff
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety, and GDPR regulations
  • Monitor performance metrics such as labour efficiency, sales figures, and costs
  • Develop and implement targeted service campaigns to optimise revenue generation
  • Analyse customer feedback and competitor activity to improve service offerings as a Service Manager
  • Foster a positive dealership environment through effective team collaboration
  • Attend manufacturer training sessions and internal meetings to stay informed of industry standards
Requirements of a Service Manager:
  • Proven experience at a supervisory or managerial level within an automotive dealership
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturer service standards and KPIs
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to interpret performance data and implement improvements
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Experience working with workshop controllers and senior service advisors is highly desirable
