Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles

• Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (where qualified)

• Diagnose faults accurately using manufacturer diagnostic equipment

• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

• Conduct vehicle health checks and report any additional work required

• Ensure all job cards, paperwork, and MOT records are completed accurately

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

• Work collaboratively with the service team to meet productivity targets

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

• Valid MOT Tester Licence (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)

• Proven experience as a Service Technician in a dealership or independent garage

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

• A positive, professional attitude with good attention to detail
