Join a reputable independent garage in Haywards Heath as a Service Technician. Our client is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or experienced vehicle technician to advance their career within a friendly and professional setting.

  • Competitive basic salary of £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, DOE
  • Working hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekends
  • Optional overtime on Thursday evenings paid at time and a half

Duties of a Service Technician:
  • Carrying out routine servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including light vans
  • Conducting diagnostics and fault-finding to identify any vehicle issues
  • Assisting with light repair jobs, including brake, suspension, and lighting work
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and vehicle safety
  • Ensuring timely completion of jobs whilst providing excellent customer service
  • Assisting with occasional clutch and timing belt replacements
  • Recording all work accurately and updating vehicle service history
Requirements of a Service Technician:
  • Recently qualified or a few years of experience as a vehicle technician
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a team environment
  • Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics
  • Relevant driving licence and own tools
  • MOT certification is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided
  • Strong organisation skills and a professional attitude
  • Local candidates within approximately five miles of Haywards Heath are preferred
