Sewing Machinist

CareerMakers Recruitment are currently looking for experienced Sewing Machinists in Coppull, Chorley PR7.

Duties:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric and upholstery materials for office furniture.
• Follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate stitching and assembly of furniture components.
• Cut, measure, and trim materials to size as required.
• Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards.
• Maintain sewing machines and equipment, troubleshooting any issues and ensuring optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of furniture components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and quality control procedures.

Skills:

• Experience with industrial sewing machines, including overlock and flatbed machines.
• Strong understanding of different upholstery materials, including fabric, leather, and vinyl.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Shift Pattern -

• Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm

Pay -

From £13 per hour
