An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Shift Leader to join a prestigious flagship site in Liverpool Street. In this role, you will oversee both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems. You will lead a shift engineer, supervise specialist subcontractors, carry out HV switching operations, and act as a key point of contact for the client while reporting directly to the Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical plant systems
- Operate, maintain, and fault-find on a variety of systems including
- Single and three-phase power distribution
- Motors and generators, including load and off-load testing
- UPS systems
- LV/HV switchgear, shutdowns, and switching operations
- Emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
- AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, and CRAC units
- Sprinkler systems, pumps, bearings, belts, and seals
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Safely isolate plant and equipment in line with health and safety procedures
- Ensure all remedial works are completed to statutory and site compliance standards
- Promote safe working practices and maintain high engineering standards
- Coordinate and oversee specialist contractors on site
- Maintain accurate documentation including logbooks, RAMS, permits to work, and reports
- Manage maintenance tasks using PDA systems, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives
- Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installations (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL, or equivalent)
- HV Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within commercial building maintenance
- Previous experience leading or supervising engineers within a shift environment
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Solid understanding of commercial electrical and mechanical systems
- £58,000 – £60,000 per annum
- Continental shift pattern (days and nights)
- High Voltage training provided
