We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a growing civil engineering team delivering water, wastewater, infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of schemes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This role offers an immediate start Outside IR35 with opportunities to continue onto further long-term projects following the initial assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), RAMS, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), programmes and project budgets.

  • Plan, programme and resource works effectively to achieve project milestones.

  • Monitor project progress against the programme and implement corrective actions where required.

  • Ensure full compliance with all company procedures and statutory requirements.

  • Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks.

  • Brief site teams on RAMS, safe systems of work and project-specific requirements.

  • Participate in regular SHEQ audits and client safety inspections.

  • Ensure works are delivered efficiently and within agreed financial targets.

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, resources and project performance.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement and manage quality assurance procedures.

  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.

  • Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.

  • Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.

  • Manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.

  • Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and Client Representatives.

  • Lead regular site briefings and progress meetings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Site Agent within Civil Engineering, Water, Utilities or Infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of project planning, programming and resource management.

  • Experience producing CPPs, RAMS, ITPs, budgets and programmes.

  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.

Qualifications:

  • SMSTS (Essential)

  • CSCS Black Card / NVQ Level 6 (Essential)

  • 3-Day First Aid at Work (Essential)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline

  • NRSWA Supervisor

  • Temporary Works Coordinator

  • Confined Space Training

  • Appointed Person (Lifting Operations)

  • Practicable Environmental Management Training
