Site-based Project Manager - Fire Protection

A leading fire protection contractor has secured a multi-million pound NHS project in Gloucester and is looking to appoint a Site-Based Project Manager to lead delivery from early-stage survey through to completion.
This is a long-term, single-site role (minimum 12 months), offering full ownership of the project lifecycle within a well-supported structure — including dedicated design and admin resource.
You’ll take the lead on a subcontractor-driven programme covering both active and passive fire works, working directly with NHS stakeholders to drive programme, quality, and site standards.
Key responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of site activity and subcontractors
- Coordinating multiple workstreams across fire and M&E elements
- Client liaison with NHS stakeholders and project teams
- Managing H&S, quality, and compliance on-site
- Programme management from survey phase through to completion
- Ensuring subcontractors meet both technical and behavioural standards
What we’re looking for
- Strong site-based Project Manager with hands-on delivery experience
- Proven background managing subcontractor-led projects
- Confident client-facing individual (stakeholder management essential)
- Ability to manage programme, quality, and site standards
- Fire protection experience
- SMSTS (essential)
- Asbestos Awareness
- IOSH or similar (beneficial)
