Site Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Stanford-le-Hope. This role is ideal for someone with strong setting out expertise who is also confident in managing and overseeing subcontractors on site.

You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for works on site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with drawings
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
• Oversee and manage a subcontractor responsible for setting out works
• Ensure all works are completed to quality and programme standards
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Conduct site checks and maintain accurate records
• Support health & safety compliance on site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within construction/civils
• Strong setting out skills (essential)
• Experience managing or supervising subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field
• CSCS card (essential)

Desirable

• Experience on similar infrastructure or construction projects
• Familiarity with surveying equipment (e.g. Leica, Trimble)
