Job Title: Site Engineer – Major Substation Civils

Location: Austria (Rotational Basis) Sector: Heavy Civil Engineering / Power Infrastructure Rotation: [e.g., 2 weeks on / 1 week off] – Flights, Accommodation & Subsistence provided.

Ever wanted to take your engineering skills to the Alps? We are looking for a precision-focused Site Engineer to join the delivery team for a flagship High-Voltage (HV) substation project in Austria.

This isn't your standard muck-shift. You will be responsible for the setting out and quality control of high-tolerance reinforced concrete structures, complex cable ducting networks, and critical site infrastructure that must be "millimeter perfect" for the electrical installation phase.

Your Role on Site

• Setting Out: Lead the setting out of primary foundations, transformer plinths, and structural steel bolt groups using Total Station / GPS.
• Quality & Compliance: Manage "As-Built" surveys and RFI (Request for Information) processes.
• Subcontractor Management: Work closely with the civil gangs to ensure earthworks and drainage align with the master design.
• Problem Solving: Identify design clashes early—especially regarding underground services and HV cable routes.
• Safety & Environment: Ensure all works comply with stringent European environmental and safety standards.

What You Bring

• The Gear: Proficient in Leica/Trimble kit and AutoCAD for data processing.
• The Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in heavy civils, structural concrete, or power projects.
• The Mindset: You are meticulous with your paperwork (Quality Assurance) and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• The Qualifications: Degree or HND in Civil Engineering. A valid CSCS card (or European equivalent) is essential.
