Site Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a busy S278 works package in Leeds. This is a great opportunity to secure a solid 8-month contract on a well-run infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for S278 works including highways improvements, kerbing, drainage, and road construction
• Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications
• Conducting QA checks and maintaining accurate site records
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and local authorities
• Producing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
• Managing as-built surveys and ensuring documentation is up to date
• Assisting with daily site operations to keep works on programme

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on S278 or highways schemes
• Strong setting out skills (GPS, Total Station)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Valid CSCS card
• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience working with local authorities on S278 agreements
• Knowledge of QA procedures and site documentation
• SMSTS or SSSTS (beneficial)
