Site Engineer – Precast (12 Month Contract)
About the Role:
My client is a leading sub contractor specialising in precast concrete solutions. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join the team on a 12-month contract, working on an industrial unit project. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a technically demanding precast installation scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager and Site Foreman
- Assisting with site set up and ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations
- Carrying out all setting out duties associated with precast elements (panels, columns, beams)
- Managing day-to-day engineering activities related to precast installation
- Coordinating with subcontractors and crane teams for safe and accurate installation
- Raising and resolving technical queries related to design and precast connections
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable, not essential)
- Proven experience setting out for precast concrete or structural elements
- Strong understanding of drawings, tolerances, and installation sequencing
- Degree in Civil Engineering or time-served background
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
