Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Birmingham. This is a long-term opportunity offering 18 months of consistent work on a high-profile infrastructure project.

Key Details:

• Location: Birmingham
• Start Date: Tuesday 5th May
• Duration: 18 months
• Rate: £300 – £350 per day
• Contract: Outside IR35

Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for highways works
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with design specifications
• Managing and interpreting technical drawings and documentation
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project managers
• Maintaining accurate site records and reports
• Supporting quality assurance and health & safety compliance

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on highways projects
• Strong setting out and surveying skills
• Proficiency with relevant equipment (e.g. GPS, total stations)
• Good understanding of highways specifications and standards
• CSCS card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
