Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Plots Site Engineer to join a busy residential development team. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer with a strong background in setting out for housing developments and infrastructure works across multiple plots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for housing plots, including foundations, drainage, roads, and plot boundaries
• Ensuring accurate levels and positions for kerbs, roads, and utilities
• Interpreting site drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Working closely with site managers, subcontractors, and groundworks teams
• Maintaining and operating surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, etc.)
• Carrying out quality assurance checks and resolving discrepancies on site
• Keeping accurate site records, as-builts, and progress reports

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on housing or residential developments
• Strong setting-out knowledge for plots, drainage, and infrastructure
• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and relevant software
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• CSCS card (essential)

Desirable:

• Experience working with volume housebuilders or groundworks contractors
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
