Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways project in Oxford, delivering the earthworks package on a large-scale infrastructure scheme. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable engineer looking for an immediate start on a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for earthworks and highways activities
• QA, as-built surveys, and maintaining accurate site records
• Managing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Working closely with site management and subcontractors
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme
• Conducting volume calculations and surveying duties
• Supporting daily site operations and progress reporting
• Liaising with the client and project team as required

Requirements

• Previous experience working on highways and earthworks projects
• Strong setting out experience using GPS and robotic instruments
• CSCS card essential
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Package

• £300 – £400 per day depending on experience
