Site Foreman – Civil / Utilities Project (Isle of Skye)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Site Foreman to lead works on a major infrastructure project located on the stunning Isle of Skye. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality utility and infrastructure works across complex and challenging environments.

The successful candidate will be working with a highly organised and safety-driven team specialising in civil engineering, underground services, and utility installation, with a strong focus on delivering projects to programme and specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of site operations and workforce
• Coordinating gangs involved in underground cabling, ducting, and associated civils works
• Ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification
• Reading and interpreting drawings and setting out works as required
• Liaising with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors
• Maintaining site records, permits, and safety documentation
• Driving productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Foreman on civil engineering or utilities projects
• Strong background in underground cabling and ducting works (essential)
• Valid SMSTS certification
• Valid CSCS card (Gold/Black preferred)
• Relevant foreman/supervisory tickets (or equivalent site leadership qualifications)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple gangs and work to tight deadlines
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards

Working Pattern & Conditions

• 10 days on / 4 days off rotation
• 12-hour shifts
• Accommodation provided if required
• Work location: Isle of Skye (remote site – travel required)
