About the Position
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of the school premises, ensuring the buildings and grounds are kept in excellent condition and all statutory requirements are met. Working closely with the school's leadership team, you will help create an environment that supports both learning and wellbeing.
Main Duties
- Managing the security and accessibility of the school site.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and coordinating repairs when required.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and site regulations.
- Conducting regular site inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
- Liaising with and supervising external contractors.
- Supporting the setup and organisation of school events and activities.
- Overseeing cleaning and site services to maintain high standards across the premises.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance, compliance and health and safety documentation.
The Ideal Candidate

- Has previous experience within site management, facilities management or a similar role.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
- Is highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards across the school environment.
- Has excellent problem-solving abilities and can work effectively on their own initiative.
- Communicates confidently with staff, contractors and visitors.
