About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to oversee a major high-rise accommodation re-cladding project in Newcastle. This is an initial temporary contract with an excellent opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate, offering long-term career stability with a leading industry name.

As the Site Manager, you will be the driving force on-site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage sub-contractors, oversee daily operations, and maintain strict health and safety compliance throughout the facade remediation works.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations on-site to ensure the project progresses in line with the program.
  • Oversee complex re-cladding and facade installation packages, ensuring compliance with strict fire safety and building regulations.
  • Directly manage sub-contractors, conducting daily briefings, progress reviews, and quality inspections.
  • Enforce rigorous health and safety standards on-site, managing risk assessments and RAMS.
  • Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client's project team, ensuring smooth communication and minimal disruption to the accommodation building.


What We Are Looking For

  • Proven Experience: A strong background in Site Management, specifically overseeing external envelope, facade, or extensive re-cladding projects. Also commercial build such as accommodation, new build schools, leisure centres etc.
  • Tier 1 Background: Prior experience working with a Tier 1 main contractor is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern cladding systems, external wall insulation (EWI), and current building regulations.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successfully managing sub-contractors.


Qualifications & Certificates:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Scaffold Inspection (highly desirable)
