Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Site Manager on a 10 month contract based Moray.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical infrastructure, transmission, or substation construction projects and be capable of managing site operations safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site activities on substation projects up to 400kV.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with company and client procedures.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Monitor programme progress and report to project management teams.
- Ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on HV substation projects (up to 400kV preferred).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Valid CAT 1 Substation Clearance.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- National Grid or transmission network experience.
- Temporary Works awareness/coordinator training.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
- Experience working on major infrastructure or energy projects.
