Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Site Manager on a 10 month contract based Moray.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical infrastructure, transmission, or substation construction projects and be capable of managing site operations safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site activities on substation projects up to 400kV.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with company and client procedures.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Monitor programme progress and report to project management teams.
  • Ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on HV substation projects (up to 400kV preferred).
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Valid CAT 1 Substation Clearance.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • National Grid or transmission network experience.
  • Temporary Works awareness/coordinator training.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure or energy projects.
