Pay rate: Up to €550 per day

Location: Athlone, Ireland (Please note, the candidate must live and reside within Ireland)

The Site Manager will oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of PV solar construction projects on behalf of our client within the Renewables industry. The role involves managing health & safety compliance, coordinating contractors and site activities, monitoring project progress against programme, maintaining site records and reports, supervising construction and commissioning works, and ensuring all works meet required quality, environmental, and contractual standards.

Role information:

  • Manage the safe delivery of PV solar, substation, and grid connection works from construction through to commissioning and energisation.
  • Oversee all site activities including civil works, HV cabling, ducting, drainage, concrete foundations, and electrical installations.
  • Lead site Health & Safety compliance through inspections, audits, toolbox talks, inductions, and RAMS reviews.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely and on programme.
  • Monitor project progress, maintain site records, and provide weekly reports, lookaheads, and programme updates.
  • Manage QA/QC processes including ITPs, inspections, NCRs, defects, and handover documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, landowners, local authorities, and utility providers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support commercial and project teams with RFIs, early warnings, risk management, and cost control.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

  • Experienced Site Manager with strong electrical bias and background in renewables, substations, BESS, or HV infrastructure.
  • Proven experience delivering civil and electrical works on large infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Strong Health & Safety leadership with experience managing site compliance and contractor safety.
  • Good understanding of HV cabling, substations, commissioning, and grid connection works.
  • Experienced in reviewing RAMS, managing QA/QC processes, and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with clients, utilities, and site teams.
  • Ability to manage programme delivery, site logistics, and multiple work fronts in live environments.
  • Temporary Works Coordination (TWC) experience and renewable energy project experience desirable.
