Site Manager

Straight-line are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager / Site Supervisor to join our team on a project basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site.
• Overseeing civil engineering works and ensuring works are completed safely and to programme.
• Supervising various trades, including electrical installation subcontractors.
• Reviewing and implementing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures.
• Monitoring quality standards and site progress.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders as required.
• Maintaining site records and reporting on project activities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Site Management or Site Supervision roles.
• Previous experience managing multiple subcontractors on live construction sites.
• Strong understanding of RAMS, health & safety, and site compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating electrical installation works and other specialist trades.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively manage site activities.

Desirable:

• Civil engineering / groundworks background.
• Relevant site management qualifications and certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, etc.).

Contract:

• Freelance / Contract position.
• Competitive day rate, dependent on experience.
