Job Opportunity: Freelance Site Manager

Location: Peterborough

Rate: £250 per day

Hours: Days - 7:30am to 5:00pm

Duration: 10 weeks

Start Date: Monday 15th June

Finish Date: Friday 21st August

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 10‑week programme. The successful candidate will manage fire door replacement works, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the replacement of approximately 150 fire doors, including all associated making‑good works

   

• Ensure all works comply with fire door regulations and quality standards

   

• Manage documentation, including completing and obtaining permits

   

• Conduct daily site checks and produce daily reports

   

• Oversee plant management and subcontractor performance

   

• Coordinate labour and maintain smooth workflow on site

   

Required Qualifications

• SMSTS

   

• CSCS Management Card

   

• First Aid Certification

   

Person Specification

• Strong knowledge and experience with fire door installations

   

• Confident in completing and obtaining permits

   

• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
