Site Installation Lead / Site Supervisor
Full-Time | Permanent
UK-Based with Extensive Travel (UK & International)
£14.50 per hour + travel allowances + overtime
The Opportunity
A specialist engineering and construction business is looking for a practical, hands-on Site Installation Lead to join its growing team delivering unique large-scale recreational and infrastructure projects across the UK and overseas.
This is not a traditional office-based role. The work is site-based, physical, varied, and often international. Projects can be fast-moving and require people who are adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership in changing environments.
The company operates within a highly specialised sector and delivers bespoke installations for clients around the world. With a strong pipeline of confirmed projects, they are looking for someone interested in building a long-term career within the business.
The Role
You’ll work as part of a small installation team delivering specialist construction and engineering projects on live sites. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with installation and construction activities
- Coordinating day-to-day site operations
- Supporting labour and subcontractor management
- Organising materials and equipment on site
- Solving practical problems as projects develop
- Working closely with senior management and clients
- Maintaining safe working practices at all times
This role involves regular travel and periods working away from home, including international assignments.
What They’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- Practical and hands-on
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments
- Organised and proactive
- Calm under pressure
- Able to adapt when plans change
- Confident leading others while working alongside the team
- Happy travelling frequently and working in unfamiliar locations
Previous experience in construction, engineering, installations, logistics, or site operations would be beneficial, but attitude and adaptability are considered more important than formal qualifications.
A background involving practical work, contracting environments, mechanical installation, or outdoor/site-based operations would be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
Successful applicants must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Be eligible for international travel, including to the United States
- Be capable of meeting security and background screening requirements for certain project locations
Employment is subject to clearance and travel eligibility where required.
What’s on Offer
- £14.50 per hour basic pay
- Additional allowance for working away
- Significant overtime opportunities paid at enhanced rates
- Long-term career opportunity within a specialist business
- Early responsibility and progression opportunities
- Varied and unusual projects worldwide
- A role that offers genuine experience rather than routine
Important
This role is best suited to someone motivated by experience, responsibility, travel, and practical achievement, not someone seeking a purely office-based or highly structured corporate environment.
If you enjoy solving problems, building things, and working in places most people never see, this could be an exceptional opportunity.
