Site Supervisor

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on a solar farm project. This is a fully field-based role, ideal for someone who thrives working outdoors and actively supporting site teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while also assisting the workforce and operating machinery when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities on the solar farm
• Provide direct support and guidance to site operatives and subcontractors
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company policies
• Actively participate in site work, including assisting the workforce where needed
• Operate plant and machinery as required
• Monitor progress and report on project milestones to management
• Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks
• Maintain site records and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently

Requirements:

• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification – essential
• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within construction or renewable energy projects (solar preferred)
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices on construction sites
• Ability to operate machinery and plant equipment
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: Standard site hours
• Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm (paid as a full 10-hour day)
