Software Engineer (PLC / SCADA) – Permanent | County Tyrone, Northern Ireland | Hybrid | £50,000 – £60,000

Ceto Talent is recruiting a Software Engineer to join an established automation team delivering PLC and SCADA solutions across water and wastewater projects in Northern Ireland. This is a permanent, hybrid role offering long‑term stability and involvement in technically complex engineering projects from design through to commissioning.

About You

• Proven experience developing automation software within industrial or infrastructure environments
• Strong working knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems used in water, wastewater, or similar sectors
• Experience producing design documentation such as FDS, system architecture designs, and PLC I/O lists
• Hands‑on capability developing PLC software and HMI solutions to defined standards
• Experience testing software using simulation or hardware and supporting commissioning activity
• Relevant electrical qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Holds the right to work in the UK on a permanent basis

The Role

You will be responsible for the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and commissioning of automation solutions. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will support project delivery while ensuring systems meet technical, safety, and client requirements.

Hybrid working is offered, balanced against project and commissioning needs.
