Title: Software Engineer - FTC 12 Months 

Role: Internal Tools

Location: Cambridgeshire

Salary: £40k-£60k
 

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a leading technology and product development company that designs and develops complex hardware for advanced instrumentation. Working from early-stage R&D through to full production, they create cutting-edge technologies that drive innovation in advanced diagnostics and engineering.

You’ll be joining their internal IT team to build the tools and applications that drive operational efficiency across the entire business on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software and workflow tools for internal use
  • Connect and integrate systems and AI capabilities into daily workflows
  • Take ownership of delivery within an established engineering environment
  • Hands-on development of data-driven applications and system integrations
  • Work autonomously to solve internal technical challenges

     

Key Requirements:

  • Strong development skills in C#/.NET
  • Experience building internal tools, workflow systems, or data-driven apps.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, SQL Server/Azure SQL, and modern web frameworks like Blazor or ASP.NET.
  • Version control expertise using Git
  • Experience with Generative AI (desirable)
