Special needs teaching assistant

A highly supportive Specialist SEN School in Lewisham, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a structured and collaborative environment supporting pupils aged 5–25 with a range of additional needs.

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Full-time
• Long-term or permanent (depending on suitability)
• Lewisham

You will support pupils with Autism, Speech & Language needs, and SEMH, working either 1:1 or within small groups.

The role is varied and may include:
• Supporting speech and language interventions
• Working within SEMH-focused classrooms
• Supporting pupils in autism specialist settings

• Specialist SEN setting (ages 5–25)
• Good Ofsted rating
• Strong team ethos – staff work closely together
• Excellent CPD and training opportunities
• Supportive and well-structured environment

• Experience working with SEN pupils (Autism essential)
• Understanding of Speech & Language or SEMH needs
• Patient, proactive and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
