Think FE are working with a specialist land-based college in Northamptonshire, based on an impressive rural campus with extensive facilities and a strong focus on practical, skills-based learning. They are looking for an experienced and compassionate Specialist Learning Support Practitioner to provide proactive support, coaching, and guidance to learners across full-time, part-time, and work-based programmes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong SEND experience who is confident supporting learners with a range of physical, learning, and additional needs, while also working closely with teaching teams, families, carers, and external agencies.

The role As a Specialist Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a key role in helping learners access education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

You will:
Develop and deliver tailored learner support plans across full-time, part-time, and work-based programmes.
Lead on EHCP annual reviews, ensuring requirements are met in line with local authority expectations.
Provide specialist support for learners with SEND, including physical difficulties, learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and related needs.
Undertake relevant specialist training and share your knowledge with teaching and support staff.
Liaise with external agencies, parents, carers, and internal teams to ensure learners receive joined-up, effective support.
Coach learners to develop independence, resilience, and the skills they need to succeed.

What we’re looking for We are looking for someone who has:
Experience of working with young people with physical difficulties and/or learning difficulties.
A full Level 3 qualification.
GCSE Maths and English Language at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
A Level 2 Learning Support qualification, or equivalent.
A formal qualification, training, or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: visual impairment, hearing impairment, Asperger’s, Autism, ADHD/DB.
Up-to-date professional development in SEND.
A calm, supportive, and learner-focused approach.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with teaching staff, families, carers, and external professionals.
