My client is looking for a Specification Technologist to add to a growing Spec team. They have a strong relationship with their retail customers, giving you the opportunity to work with the biggest retailers in the country.

If you are currently a Spec Tech or a Technologist, this could be a great opportunity for you to increase exposure and knowledge in this area.

The Role

• Create and manage product specifications for UK retailers, foodservice, and manufacturing customers
• Approve packaging artwork and copy, ensuring legal and customer compliance
• Work with other departments to support product launches
• Maintain accurate ingredient, recipe, and nutritional data across systems
• Ensure specifications are completed to customer and internal deadlines
• Conduct allergen and claims risk assessments
• Support factory trials, audits, and continuous improvement activities

About You

• Specifications experience within food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of UK food labelling, allergens, and nutritional claims
• Experience with major UK retailer specification platforms
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
