We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join a highly supportive and nurturing school community in South London (SW2). This is an exciting opportunity to work across both an Enhanced Provision and Targeted Mainstream setting, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs.

The school has a strong therapeutic ethos, excellent staff collaboration, and a genuine commitment to communication-focused practice throughout the environment.

This role would suit an SLT who enjoys combining direct therapy, collaborative working and strategic input to create meaningful outcomes for children.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of approximately 65 children across two specialist pathways:

Enhanced Provision

Supporting pupils with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Non-verbal communication needs
  • SEMH
  • Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)

All pupils have EHCPs and there is a strong focus on:

  • AAC systems and communication boards
  • Pre-verbal communication
  • Functional communication development
  • Communication-rich environments

Targeted Mainstream Provision

Working within a mainstream setting of approximately 339 pupils, supporting children with:

  • Speech, language and communication needs
  • Developmental Language Disorder
  • Global developmental delay
  • Sensory and communication integration needs

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering direct therapy through:
    • 1:1 intervention
    • Small group sessions
  • Creating and reviewing therapy targets
  • Supporting EHCP outcomes
  • Providing guidance and training to school staff
  • Supporting the implementation of AAC systems and communication strategies
  • Advising on communication-friendly environments
  • Monitoring progress and adapting interventions
  • Working collaboratively within a well-regulated and supportive SEN team
