Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Stairlift Engineer to join our friendly, growing team. You’ll carry out Stairlift installations, routine servicing and respond to breakdowns, playing a hands-on role in keeping our customers mobile and independent in their own homes.
The ideal candidate will have good electrical knowledge, a practical mindset and experience in independently repairing equipment. While experience within the stairlift industry is desirable, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
This is a field-based role requiring a strong technical ability, excellent communication skills and compassionate approach when working in customers’ homes.
We take the safety and wellbeing of our customers seriously; therefore, this role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation of Stairlifts
- Carry out workshopbased repairs
- Prepare equipment and assist with general warehouse duties
- Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on Stairlifts and Home lifts
- Diagnose faults and complete breakdown callouts efficiently
- Participate in an oncall rota (approximately 1 week in every 4) to cover emergency breakdowns
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times
- Accurately complete all documentation, including service reports and job sheets
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and industry regulations
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Proven experience in independent equipment repair with strong electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- A practical, handson approach with willingness to learn
- Flexible, reliable and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
