Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00 and Friday, 07:00 - 13:00

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join a busy stores and logistics team within a fast-moving manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on position, thrives under pressure and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organisation throughout the despatch process.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials and finished components move efficiently through the facility, supporting production operations and ensuring customer deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries within a high-volume stores environment
• Accurately process goods in and out using internal stock control systems
• Carry out regular stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
• Conduct visual inspections of machined components prior to shipment
• Pack finished goods securely and prepare orders for despatch
• Maintain accurate digital records and update internal databases
• Liaise directly with suppliers regarding component processes and delivery coordination
• Support daily stores operations to ensure uninterrupted workflow during busy periods
• Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation

About You

• Previous experience within a warehouse, stores or despatch environment preferred
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Confident using computers and internal systems for stock management and data entry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Professional and approachable when communicating with suppliers and colleagues
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities
• Positive attitude with a proactive approach to daily tasks
